Geoff:
My reading has always been that the gold glint was Dumbledore's 
glasses.

I presume that, if Harry is just coming round after three days, and 
Elixir treatment had been used, it would have been used much earlier.

Your suggestion also doesn't fit with:
"As for the Stone, it has been destroyed" - Dumledore speaking.
