Katrina:
Whenever I (re)read the prophecy, the use of the word, "mark"
reminds me of the phrase, "marked man." In that sense, Harry
was "marked" even before LV arrived in Godric's Hollow. He
was "marked" as soon as LV turned his attention to him.

To quote the Cambridge Dictionary of Idioms:
[A marked man/woman is] someone who is being watched by someone who
wants to harm or kill them.

Sounds like our Harry to me.
