Mayeaux45: You have a good point.  Now that I think about it, Harry 
never did "choose" Ron.  They just assumed.  I guess to them a 14 yr 
old wizard would miss his best male mate more than he would his best 
female one.  They probably would have assumed James missing Sirius 
moreso than missing Lily as well back when they were in school.
