Even if JKR hadn't said that flat out, wouldn't this (like the Mark
Evans question) fall into the "How many times do I have to tell
you?" category?
The Dursleys are Harry's Only Living Blood Relatives. That's canon.
The only way JKR is going to be able to change that at this late
date will be to turn everything over so badly that everything *else*
is likely to lose credibility.
