I don't know where it is exactly but here it tells you roughly how 
long Fudge has been in power.

Gof uk edition, pg 457: 'When Voldemort disappeared, it looked like 
only a matter of time until Crouch got the top job.'

GoF uk edition, pg 459: 'Once the boy [Crouch Jnr] had died, 
people ... started asking how a nice young lad from a good family
