Some people seem to have the idea that for Harry to apologize for
something he did wrong (snoop in the Pensieve) is some kind of
surrender or lowering of himself or something basically shameful and
humiliating.  

For others of us, apologizing is a way for Harry to right a balance
and retreive the moral high ground that he has (usually) occupied
with Snape.
