Book Vs. Movie Sorcerer's Stone Question

Okay, Folks,

Has JKR addressed a slight inconsistency in the book vs. the movie? It's a
really little thing, but the birthday cake Hagrid brings to Harry has "Happy
Birthday Harry" on it, spelled correctly in the book (US Edition.)  In the
US Edition movie, however, it's shown as "Happee" or something like that.

Is this supposed to be a jibe at making Hagrid look uneducated or what?

Curious minds want to know. :-)
