Yay! A kindred spirit. :) You've also come up with a more fully-realised
version of what I was thinking. I suspect that JKR already has a very clear
idea of how things went at the Hollow, but wasn't able to use the scene
because she has been mostly trapped in Harry's pov. The dream idea is a good
one, since Harry now has a psychic connection to the only other survivor of
that night - and the only one who would have a clear memory of it as well.
It'll be interesting to see if you're right.
