I think the more childish names represent how the books used to be 
more like fairy tales, whereas now JKR is trying to make them more 
adult.  I appreciate the effort, because I've never been sure that 
the names Winky and Dobby mean anything, whereas Kreacher seems to be 
a very appropriate name for that character.
