This is my first post to this group. I'd like to briefly say that I 
really enjoy reading your ideas and theories. There are some good 
thinkers out there!

In response to this post, I think there have been numerous times 
that DD has been outside in daylight during events. As one example, 
in GoF, DD was at the lakeside for the second task, which started at 
9:30 am. He was still there when Harry emerged from the water an 
hour later.

I think he's been around for Quidditch matches, too.

So I don't think DD is a vampire. Snape, on the other hand, is a 
virtual shoo-in in my opinion!
