I've no problem with Bill being the next DADA teacher, he is an expert
curse break, so one can assume safely that he is also an expert curse
maker. The man breaks curses cast in magic and in languages that
haven't existed for thousands of years, he has to be good to be able
to do that. (Always admired that ability in Bill.)
There is just one problem with that, if Bill Weasley moves that far
into the foreground, and becomes as close a friend to Harry's as I
suspect he will, then we can almost guarantee that he is one dead Weasley.
I'm not sure I really want to see a Weasley die, but sadly, people
have been predicting it for a long time.

Can't really argue with you, and yes, I can almost hear Harry moaning
and groaning about having to take potions again. I suppose Dumbledore
could intervene again, but that seems like a pretty slack (almost too
easy) way of getting Harry into potions. It is certainly possible, but
I see it as easier and more believable from a plot perspective for a
new potions teach with less strict criteria to let him in.
Also, people have been predicting for a long time that Snape would
show, with no uncertainty and with no ambiguity, that he is willing to
sacrifice himself for the side of the good and for Harry. Then Harry
will know in no uncertain terms that Snape really was a good guy, and
someone to be admired. In a sense, Snape will redeem himself in
Harry's eyes.
So, the sad question I must ask is... do you prefer to have Bill
Weasley die a heroic death or Snape?
Personally, I choose Snape. Harry and many other people would be heart
broken by Bill's death, and Harry would gain nothing but more pain and
guilt. Snape's death however could teach Harry some very deep and
important lessons.
So, the next questions is, which death has the greatest power to move
the plot and more importantly, to move Harry forward?
Of course, there can be no true answer, only opinions, but for now,
opinion are all we have.
