Hello all
Just something that poked into my mind while rereading OOTP. When
Umbridge is making her inspections on teachers she asks the teaches
how long they have worked at Hogwarts. Both Snape and Trelawney were
appointed to positions because of Harry. Trelawney got the job
because of her prediction about Harry, and Snape got his job because
he passed information to the Order about the DE's and Voldemort
before Voldemort was killed. I assume that Snape is the one that
warned DD to put the Potters into protection. So Harry has already
been involved in 2 teaching changes before he even attended
Hogwarts. Also there is the DADA teaches Harry has had a part in
make leave the school. Quirrel died because Harry made Voldemort
leave his body, Lockhart left cause he was trying to make Harry lose
his memory, Lupin left because Harry made a fool of Snape (and as a
result Snape told everyone Lupin was a werewolf), Moody/Crouch got
kissed because Harry survived Voldemort and Moody tried to him, and
finally Umbridge who left Hogwarts for many reasons (which include
sending dementors to attack Harry, and because she did not believe
Harry about Voldemort (and made a fool of herself because of it)).
So if Harry has already been involved in 7 teaching changes how many
more can we expect? How much influence has Harry had on the entire
WW already? When one thinks about how pretty much everyone who is
magical in Europe goes to 3 schools, it can be seen that Harry has
changed the world constantly for the last 15 years even without
trying. All those people who came through Hogwarts and attended
Snape's Trelawney's and Quirrel's lessons lives have been changed in
a way that we cannot really comprehend yet. Did Harry change
Hogwarts for the better or for the worse? What do you guys think?
Was it worth Snape making people's lives miserable all those years?
John who wishes he knew how much pain Snape has caused over the
years.
