There is a lot of preoccupation with time, immortality, and rebirth 
in the books.  Is it possible that certain children are born with a 
mark that distinguishes them to the Order, but only when they are  
attacked or are in danger?  

Is it possible that Godric had a scar like Harry's? 

Perhaps the prophecy is vague because it concerns 4 children.  The 
prophecy only states what month these children were born; it says 
nothing about what year. 

Neville and Harry are born in the same month and year. 
But how about Ginny or Luna?
