Everyone knows that Lupin was friends with James -- why would he hide 
that from Harry?  I think Lynette made a good observation. Lupin's 
remark sounds more like he was surprised that Harry heard James 
voice?! (Maybe it wasn't James's voice after all?) I think we will 
find out something curious about that night.
