Oh yes, I love this question thank you so much for asking it.  LOL Well, I have my own little theory that we have already met some professors who were married.  I personally believe we know of one, and that man is one the we know well and his name is Remus Lupin.  He isn't a professor now but you know.  

 

I believe that Remus' wife is Nymphodora Tonks, however, I believe that due to restrictions from Hogwarts (JKR said that the info was "confidential") that Tonks must keep her maiden name.  It could explain why Remus feels a bit odd calling her Tonks because he knows she isn't a Tonks anymore.  

 

It would also explain why Tonks was at Grimmauld Place a lot more than the other order members, minus Molly who was playing "mom" to Sirius and Lupin who was living there.  

And I just think the little cute interractions between Tonks and Remus are classic.  

Just a thought.  I would love to hear if everyone thinks I'm crazy or not!
