As for me - when it was translated into my language I read it out 
loud to my 11-year old son. When we got to the fighting part in the 
DOM - the first thing *he* said after hearing the incident between 
Sirius and Bellatrix was: "She didn't do it. The shot came from 
somewhere else!"
 
Susan:
Oh, no!!!  Pippin, did you see this?!?  Oh, say it ain't so!  I will 
NOT believe in ESE!Lupin!  Somebody come up w/ another theory for who 
else it could be...please?

SUSAN AGAIN:
UGH!  I need to clarify here! It seems I didn't word this very 
carefully and so I sounded kinda smart-assy to someone.  Here's what 
I REALLY MEANT:
     1)  Kids are smart, and this child saw exactly what Pippin saw 
         in this scene
     2)  Pippin thinks that "unidentified-source shot" was fired by 
         Lupin
     3)  I desperately do NOT want Lupin to be ESE!Lupin, so I'm 
         begging someone else to take Inge's son's comment and 
         develop a theory for someone *besides* Lupin to have 
         been the "shooter" so that I don't have to lose faith in 
         Lupin
