I couldn't agree more. I've often puzzled over those two fragments 
(OOP, Ch 35):
'at the solstice will come a new..' said the figure of an old bearded 
man'
and
'..and none will come after..' said the figure of a young woman.

They seem to hint yet again at Harry being the final solution to some 
age old good/evil conflict. However, I have to say they also reminded 
me very strongly of the elves leaving Middle Earth. Perhaps with the 
inevitable defeat of Voldemort, the WW will just evolve into the 
muggle world as we know it. The theme of a lost magical kingdom is a 
well-worn one, as is the theme of growing up and away from magic to 
reality.
