"Eyes are the window of the soul"

Okay, I have been doing some more pondering and
theorizing.

We know that HP has Lily's eyes and that they are
significant throughout the series.  
Well, "Eyes are the window of the soul,"  So, is it
possibly that HP has his mother's soul and that is
what saved him?

I appologise if this idea has been posted before.
