I think that Harry is often a goof off in school and often relies on 
Hermione (Ron too for that matter) to save the day. 

(By the way do you think Snape's treatment of Hermione is justified? 
Would you say that she is ever unprepared for class, doesn't listen, 
is uneducable, etc. Maybe Snape doesn't like her because she is a 
know-it-all? Or maybe he doesn't like her because she has Muggle 
parents?! Is being a racist ok?) 

As for Harry...
I think that MM is going to straighten him out!  And unlike Snape, 
she will have the right teaching approach.
