Susan:
Other than saying I disagree that Harry is uneducable [I'd certainly 
say he doesn't learn well w/ *Snape's* present system], I'm letting 
this argument go for two reasons:  1) I've already admitted to 
falling off my horse on the "grade abuse" topic; and 2) You labeled 
this as "inexcusable behavior in a teacher", and *that* is what I 
care about the most.  So we're in agreement on that part!

One little question remains for me, though.  Regardless of blame, 
fault, appropriateness or inappropriateness of behaviors of either 
party--all of that stuff--just given the history between them, if 
YOU were Harry, would you ask Snape for help??
