Hardly. Ron is pretty hormonal in GoF. He's also irrationally
angry with Harry and Hermione. Hermione has had her moods
as well. I am wondering if the snappish and emotional
Hermione of PoA was Teenangst!Hermione or just a preview of
what we 'll see in Book Six.

But when the scar link is active, it hurts.

Our
Harry doesn't have a sadistic streak in him. Well, perhaps
towards Dudley in moments of discord, or towards Snape, but
certainly not towards Ron and Hermione.<

But at that moment he was just as angry with them as he has
been with Snape, and he wanted them to feel hurt because he
was hurting so badly.

In a way this shows his growth as a person. He used to either
repress his anger or withdraw into silence. Now at least he can
tell his friends what's bothering him--something that was much
more difficult for him in GoF. Remember how he didn't want to
tell them that his scar had been hurting, and didn't want to tell
them that he'd dreamed of a plot against his life.

Harry is more in touch with his emotions now, and as a teen,
his capacity for feeling has grown. . He can't help feeling angry,
or wanting to hurt people sometimes, but he can decide how he
is going to manage those feelings.
