It's nice to see that I'm not the only one suspecting that (at
least a significant part of) Harry's anger in OotP was due to
his contact with Voldemort.
I never thought of arguing the way you did - thanks.
We do know from the occasions where Harry is aware of the contact,
that Harry not only knows what Voldemort is feeling, but that he
actually /feels/ the emotions on himself. The contact is
maintained throughout the year - Harry has already started having
dreams of the Department of Mysteries when the book opens - and
the anger and resentment Harry feels throughout the book seems, to
me, very appropriate residue from Voldemort's normal emotional
state.
