I can also relate to some of the anger that Harry feels in OOTP,
however, I do not think it's just because he is a teenager...like you
said, Hermione and Ron manage to "escape" the violent temper part;
however, look at the root of most of Harry's anger....he's realizing
that his parents were murdered by an evil wizard, who, incidentally,
just happens to be "tied" to his thoughts and dreams! He's an orphan
and ridiculed and despised by his only blood relative. No one,
really, has any idea the things that Harry goes through...for
example, the replaying of his parents' death whenever dementors are
around....that's enough to scare anyone to death! It's a living
nightmare! He's been "beaten-down" for most of his childhood, with no
one to look up to; no instruction on how to behave or being allowed
to have friends;simple things like having his birthday remembered by
his family; presents; not even a simple gesture of being hugged....he
can't feel like anyone really loves him or cares what happens to
him...and since he's also new in the "wizarding world", he's having
to find his way there too...and not without some real "angst",
afterall, he has no previous experience to fall back on and he has an
image to uphold because of who he is and the fact that he survived a
direct attack from Voltemort! I mean, imagine being famous and having
everyone picking your life to pieces even before you had any idea
what you were going to do!
You would think Dumbledore would be more aware of Harry's problems;
perhaps he is, but has to let Harry find his own way, for whatever
reasons.You just can't help but feel sorry for Harry, but not in the
pitiful sense....you just want to help him, to give him a hug!
