Ooops. That's what I meant when I parenthesized "unregistered" when 
I meant to parenthesized "unregistered or registered" but yes, 
you're right. The bat references could be red herrings (where Snape 
is an animagus) or clues for vampirism (where Snape is a vampire).

Or maybe Snape just has an affectation.
