Perhaps, if he is a dragon slayer, or supplied by one, his theorized 
longevity might be due to the twelve uses of dragon blood. I do not 
believe that we have ever been told exactly what these uses are, or 
when Dumbledore discovered them, but if Ollivander does happen to 
slay dragons in the course of his wand making (or even if he 
doesn't), the blood might just have something to do with the series' 
plot.
