Snips Mo's excellent post, because really agrees with every word of 
it.

I just want to add one thing - it was surprising for me why Harry did 
not show his anger more earlier in life - surely being locked in the 
cupboard does not make one to be very happy individual.
I guess we are supposed to believe that Lily's love kinda protected 
him from that.
