Is Neville getting better at Potions?

I wonder if Snape would be surprised or not.  We really do not know 
how well the other students are doing.  Snape may be the kind of 
teacher who is hardest on the ones who have the most potential.  
After all, he knows how the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuffians are doing, 
we may not because Harry may not.  Harry and Neville may be among 
the best of their year, reagardless of how poorly they had 
performed.  Could this be a reason Snape was not at the OWLS?  He 
was teaching them "under pressure" but they were tested with this 
pressure from him off.  Hmmmm...
