You make some good points, Carol. Add to that the fact that Quirrell
was quite loopy when he returned, and you have a full-blown jinx
rumor. Notice, however, that the reason Quirrell appeared nuts is the
encounter with Voldemort, which, we suppose, happened because Harry
was coming of age. Perhapps bboy_mn has a point.
