Hmm. Yes, that paper  gave a detailed run-down of the fans thoughts
on Peter, though IIRC none actually came up with a defence of him.
Some seemed to be edging that way but stopped short before committing
themselves.

OK. Give me two or three days and I'll see what I can do about
providing justification/explanation for how Unfortunate!Peter ended up 
as Igor to the arch-baddy.
