Interesting thoughts, Jen, but I wonder if she's really wavering.
Didn't JKR also once say that Snape was one of her favorite characters
(to write, at least)? Maybe she liked Sirius as a character
(emotionally unstable, very human, wrongly accused -all traits of a
dynamic, interesting character), but she wouldn't want him as her best
friend? :-)
