Hi, Del!

Personally, I do believe in jealous Ron in GoF. Especially because I 
remember JKR specifically saying in one of the chats that she 
portrayed Ron as jealous. Yes, I read Dicentra's wonderful essay and 
think that Betrayed!Ron is very strong and very valid interpretation 
of the text, but I did see Jealous! Ron in GoF very clearly in my 
mind.

If you acknowledge that Ron could be envious sometimes, then envy is 
a feeling that often goes together with jealosy.
