Well, actually she said that in Harry's place *she* would run and 
hide.  There isn't any reason to think that she is equating her 
reactions with Harry's.  After all, I seriously doubt she has been 
through as much as Harry has.

I agree this is a strong possibility.  Remember that JKR has also 
said that fifth year was designed in the overall arc of the story to 
be Harry's worst year.  That means that, at least in some ways, sixth 
year should be a marked improvement over fifth year.
