I've said it before, this was one of my favorite threads.
Neri argued that Snape did stall either out of negligence or 
intent.  Pippin argued he didn't.  And a host of others joined in 
with arguments or scientific information until an agreed upon 
timeline was worked out...agreed upon, a miracle in itself.  Of 
course, no one changed their minds about Snape.  ;-)
