And if I might add, in chapter 8 PoA, Harry thinks "for a moment of telling Lupin about the
dog he'd seen in Magnolia Crescent but decided not to. He didn't want Lupin to think he
was a coward, especially since Lupin already seemed to think he couldn't cope with a
boggart."
And then, the punch line "Something of Harry's thoughts seemed to have shown on his
face, because Lupin said, "Anything worrying you, Harry?""
There are other evidence in OoP.
Note that if one admits that Lupin is a Legilimens, one can surmise that Lupin knows
Sirius' first aim is not to kill Harry since the dog did not attack Harry.
Olivier, quite impressed that Pippin actually wrote a post about Lupin without an
