Hannah: To disapparate to LV's side he'd have had to get out of
Hogwarts, which would be suspicious. At that time he is disguised
as Moody and has Moody's body. So he wouldn't have a dark mark to
burn (hence why he doesn't know if LV is back or not). It makes
more sense for him to stay at Hogwarts - why blow his cover now?

would C!M, having achieved his task of sending HP to LV, not 'get
the heck out of there'.

Hannah: I've always wondered about that. Perhaps Portkeys do always
work both ways? Trying to think of canon evidence for/against
this. Unless Harry performed some 'hysterical magic' and that
enabled the cup to become a portkey in the reverse direction. He is
under a lot of stress and it's been shown before that when a wizard
is in danger they can perform magic unintentionally to save
themselves.
