Why didn't C!M apparate?

Hannah: To disapparate to LV's side he'd have had to get out of 
Hogwarts, which would be suspicious.  At that time he is disguised 
as Moody and has Moody's body.  So he wouldn't have a dark mark to 
burn (hence why he doesn't know if LV is back or not).  It makes 
more sense for him to stay at Hogwarts - why blow his cover now?

Hannah: I've always wondered about that.  Perhaps Portkeys do always 
work both ways?  Trying to think of canon evidence for/against 
this.  Unless Harry performed some 'hysterical magic' and that 
enabled the cup to become a portkey in the reverse direction.  He is 
under a lot of stress and it's been shown before that when a wizard 
is in danger they can perform magic unintentionally to save 
themselves.
