GEO: We don't know how exactly Harry would vanquish Voldemort yet
with 
the powers that he knows not. If however he vanquishes Voldemort 
through either the scar or something else that was a result of that 
Halloween Day then couldn't we assume that he became the One to 
vanquish the Dark Lord only because Voldemort marked him?

GEO: He is not infallible, but within the realm of the story, all 
information that he gives to the reader can be viewed as nothing, 
but the divine words of the writer. So in a nutshell, he can make
mistakes of judgement, but not mistakes of fact.
