I never said that Slughorn's green eyes were the only

Yes, and I admitted my mistake was in posting a tidbit, not a fleshed-
out theory. Must have sounded half-baked. Still, sorry to be so
humorless, but it hurt my feelings. Is there no history on the board
of "testing the waters?" I remember having a lot more fun here a
couple of years ago than I do now.

grandfather is far more palatable than him being a dirty old man.

never once thought of him as a dirty old man, that was somebody
else's line.

hg:
No, never, never, never did I mean to imply that you or anyone else
said he was a dirty old man! In fact, I quoted Del, the person who
touched what no-one wanted to, the blatant CREEPY factor about
Slughorn. She said she didn't think it was the case, and she
wondered what it should make us think about. If you inferred that I
thought you were insinuating that, my apologies, of course.

afraid as it goes against canon evidence to the contrary. The fact
that LIly and Petunia may not look alike doesn't make them half-
sisters. (I knew a set of twins in high school who looked so
different from each other you would hardly know they were related,
nevermind twins.)

hg:
That seems to be the consensus. Ah, well, can't blame a girl for
trying.
Thanks for taking the time to post a response to my train of thought:
