Potiocnat:
We're told Nott is an elderly father. I'm betting his wife wasn't 
nearly as old. Nott is Riddle's age, and I think Theodore's mother 
would have been younger. I know, there's no canon. So I'm just offering 
it as a possible.

On the Snape--Granger romance...that is too ewwww.
