I was sure Nagini is venomous, but I couldn't remember the reference!
Thanks! I just reread Harry's encounter with the boa constrictor in
PS/SS. Their discussion was all very cordial and polite, with no
suggestion of any Dark overtones. (The pronoun "it" is used for the
boa, so there's no indication whether it's male or female).
