Geoff:
JKR has stated on at least two occasions in interviews - on 12/03/01 
and 16/07/05 - that Dumbledore is about 150 years old.

Discussions on the group in the past have hypothesised that he came 
into contact with Flamel in his youth. The Frog Card states that he "is 
particularly famous for...  
...his work on alchemy with his partner, Nicholas Flamel."
