I just posted on this topic in 124101, but I neglected to point out 
that I don't think DD believed Harry would face VOLDEMORT if he went 
after the stone.  I believe Snape told DD that Quirrell bore 
watching, but I don't believe anyone had any idea that Voldy was 
glommed onto Quirrell's head.  So while I do think DD wanted to see 
what would happen if Harry went after the stone, I *don't* think he 
believed Harry would encounter Voldy himself there.
