Marissa:
I've always assumed the reason that Godric's Hollow blown up was not 
from using AV on James and Lily, but from the fact that when 
Voldemort used it on Harry it bounced back and hit him. It didn't 
harm Harry, and Voldemort didn't die, all unusual occurences with the 
curse, which I thought explained the unusual occurence of the house 
being blown to pieces. This could be wrong, but it's always been how 
I interpreted it.
