I think we need to distinguish between the oblique vampire 
references (the essay, for example) which do not have anything to do 
directly with Snape and the *direct* BAT references made related to 
Snape.

Personally, I *think* Snape is a vampire (whole or in part, or maybe 
just socially), but I am not certain this is so. If he isn't, no big 
whoop.
