But that would require a heck of a lot of effort, especially in Marietta's
case in particular, where she is not in Gryffindor.  I mean, let's face it,
none of the trio really trust anyone outside of their own house (and I am
assuming the reverse is true also...none of the other students in any other
house wouldn't necessarily trust those in Gryffindor for example) and it
would be a heck of a lot of work to track someone not in your own
house...the students aren't allowed to move that freely and I wouldn't trust
it to anyone not in my house.

And Marietta could have walked before signing the paper...like I said, no
one held a gun to her head.
