(A correction) Snape and Occlumency

Correction, with apologies,
In my previous post I made a mistake about Dumbledore's response to
Harry when he accuses Snape of opening his mind to LV. I said
Dumbledore did not respond. (that will teach me to write based on
memory!)
In fact, upon rereading, it's clear that Dumbledore did respond to
that particular accusation with the words "I trust Severus Snape."
Needless to say this is not an explanation from DD, but it is at
least a response.
The general point that he immediately deflects attention from the
issue by focusing on Snape's anger at James still applies, however.
