symbols are not runes. They are Hieroglyphics.  I can not understand 
them, but it might be a clue to what is coming. oops.. thought I 
heard an elf coming..  WB consults with JKR before authorizing any 
item, so there must be a reason the symbols are there.

Wonder if we will see Egypt again. Must be some reason that was in 
the books. and on the broom..
