I don't know that Egypt will eventually be important - it seems more
like a marketing gimmick to me, to make the products "mysteeerious" -
(though I suppose it might be important and I'd definitely SQUEE if
Egypt came up) but I do know that historically a lot of what we
consider "Western"-style magic originated in Egypt, and it's possible
that JKR's magic originated there too - especially since the Egyptians
were fond of spells to *control* and *bind* people - the primitive
origins of Imperius?
