But the sympathy doesn't last. By the end of OotP Harry's hatred for
Snape soars to new hights. And from what I've seen on this list, the
sympathy didn't last long among some readers either.

Sorry, I was being tongue in cheek there. It's a colloquialism to
compare the word "denial" with the Nile river in Egypt ('cause it
rhymes I guess), so I was suggesting that those who don't like Snape
are in deep denial. In my head, it was funny. :)
