I do not believe this is correct. On the train to Hogwarts Hermione 
tells Harry and Ron that she thinks Gryffindor is the best house, 
although Ravenclaw would not be too bad either (not exact quote, don't 
have my books at work).  So if given a choice she would have chosed 
Gryffindor.
