perspective.  That Rowling, she's just sneaky enough to have planted clues like this from 
all sorts of classical references...

I have that passage highlighted in my copy of The Prince! :o) And I would not be at all
surprised to find out she had indeed read Machiavelli...Machiavelli also mentions an evil
"Lucius" quite a bit. ;o)
